BATPAWAGE 7 moons
GENDER tom
CLAN Windclan
RANK apprentice
SHORT DESCRIPTION A white pipsqueak with black slivering stripes and owlish green eyes, along with over sized ears.
APPEARANCE The plumpest of prey would win in a weight contest with this twiggy apprentice. With his over exaggerated Windclan figure and thin bones, Batpaw is as light as a bird and as fast as a Leopardclan warrior. Even though only haven taken a moon into apprenticeship, Batpaw’s slick frame has given him a special flight over the moor.
With his racing pace, his bones are comparable to a bird’s hollow ones. This makes Batpaw just that much easier to break, that being said, he isn’t the one to pick for a battle of strength. Yet, one well-placed blow is enough to make fresh kill, so he isn’t about to complain.
Named after the black cave flyer, Batpaw is anything but one expect for one trademark; his ears. The apprentice is actually quite pale, a complimenting off-white color to his other colors. This is a tinted homage to his mother Snowbreeze, and the smoky tendrils that are now slight on his lanky form is a thought from his father Harestep. And for his eyes, they solely come from his sire, a green matching the clans’ common bedding material.
PERSONALITY If he can, Batpaw will probably throw a cat or two in the way of whatever’s chasing him for good measure. This comes from a habit of making the apprentices mad and running to hide behind his big sister Echopaw. Yet even his sister can’t keep up with his evasive maneuvers, for a soon as he loses one, he’s sure to find another with some cruel curse of finding trouble. It’s sort of justified that he’s shaking like a leaf until the moon comes up.
When he isn’t the avoiding being the target of somecat’s wrath, Batpaw will most likely be running into the scorn of another. His loud whining, even at its lowest volume, used to make even Snowfall snap at him. Batpaw isn’t even trying! Though from experience, he’s grown akin to making distractions to get the attention off of him and onto something or somecat else. Doesn’t help that Batpaw seems to hold the dictionary for all terrible puns known to cat.
Skittish+ Like any cat made for pure speed, Batpaw puts his advantage to good use. In fight or flight, the bird boned tom is more certain to flee even if the odds are stacked in his favor. If in any way possible, Batpaw can avoid a fight verbal or physical, he will.

HISTORY (need advisement) The litter was relatively quiet, two out of three where calm. For that Snowfall was halfway thankful. Yet most nights she sat up trying to quiet the shrill mewls of one Batkit.
Harestep and Snowfall were polar opposites, but in a way that they cancelled each other out and they never fought. Harestep was a moderately even-tempered and stuck to the rules. Snowfall was a she-cat of icy scorn and thought deviating from the law allowed them to live a ‘fuller’ life. Around Snowfall, Harestep was a bit more daring and energetic. Meanwhile Harestep allowed Snowfall to calm down and be just a bit more gentle. It didn’t take long for the warriors to match up and ‘settle down’.
Snowfall said she regretted it every night she had to stay up with her squeaky son, yet Harestep knew she was thankful to have been given something to fuss over. Harestep also knew that his mate was crushed when the runt of the litter went on to join Starclan. He was born abnormally small, dwarfed by Batkit and was very sick. There were too many things wrong with Hailkit to know what exactly killed him. He looked so much like his mother, yet not sharp, more light and fluffy. Just like the clouds he was named after.
Batkit and Echokit didn’t know how to mourn for the brother they hardly knew. Echokit remained strong, trying to do all that her brother couldn’t. Batkit on the other hand, handled himself differently, getting scared by the wind, the moon, a hard spot in the nest. All the while thinking he was next, he would be taken just like his brother was. Batkit was never in any danger though, but that didn’t stop him.
It was his father that Starclan claimed next. A moon before they became apprentices, Harestep went out hunting patrol. He chased a rabbit across the thunderpath, so focused he didn’t notice the monster coming. His mother grieved, but took as best care as she could in grief.
