squirrel, the loner [wip]

SHORT DESCRIPTION a ruddy colored tom-cat with a black dorsal stripe and bright
APPEARANCE from day one, it was quite clear that squirrel wasn't the largest of his three siblings. resembling his mother's mother, he was born with a ruddy red pelt coloring, though he did feature the same dark dorsal stripe as his father not to mention his mother's plumy tail. a scraggly little kit full of boundless energy, the red-furred tom was given the name squirrel, something he was not overly fond of in the least. after all, squirrels were prey and he would have preferred something much more intimidating, like hawk or fox. determined to break away from his namesake, the scrappy kitten took to training diligently in order to build up muscle, despite his peaceful little family not knowing the first thing about fighting. 

even so, squirrel managed to build as much muscle as he could as a youngling, and as an adult his hard work has payed off. while his overall physique is average at best, sinewy muscles run beneath this tom-cats pelt. these muscles are primarily made for running, as squirrel always was the fastest of his siblings. as a kit, he would often climb the trees that dotted the land on which his family lived and thanks to his sky-high adventures he's gained great musculature in his legs. 

as stated before, squirrel's pelt is a reddish brown in color, best described as 'ruddy'. overall, the tom's fur is short in length, though it does get a bit longer and discernibly lighter in color near his stomach and along the bottom of his tail. flowing down squirrel's back is a dark dorsal stripe, the black coloring taking over his plumy tail as it makes its way to the tip.
