WIREPAWAGE 7+ moons (born during the Skyclan migration)
GENDER female
CLAN Skyclan
RANK apprentice
SHORT DESCRIPTION A blue and caramel torbie laPerm with hazel eyes.
APPEARANCE The firstborn and only surviving kit of a small litter of two, this she-cat barely keeps an average size. Due to the circumstances surrounding her birth she grew into a rather awkward and mismatched frame. Wirepaw was named for her wiry whiskers and seemingly unkempt curls. Her colors are rather suiting to her wicked fur, with a splashes of white on an orange coat and an overpainting of silver blue.
To put into perspective, her face goes into a rather sharp point at her nose. It’s as if someone smooshed the nose into a tiny point and pushing the jaw forward while they stretched her ears out. This is with an odd combination of enlarging her eyes sitting just a little inwards from where they should have been. For some reason, her legs seem shorter then what they should be for a cat at her height, with pillow paws on the ends. Just like Wirepaw’s ears, opposite of her legs, the tail seems to have been stretched out and is a long and whippy thing.
PERSONALITY Expressive+ Wirepaw is, in general, a very loud cat. If she has a thought, she’s more often than not going to going to say such a thing aloud. Regardless of topic, she’s going to broadcast her opinion, making her a terrible cat to tell a secret to. Though, it goes to say, that Wirepaw would never lie, and would tell whatever she feels needs to be said as truthfully as she can. It might not sound pretty, and it might even sound weird, but it will be effective in conveying her meaning.
Tactless+ Taking note from the above point, Wirepaw is going to speak her mind, mindless of the consequences. She means well, but that isn’t necessarily the best thing. It seems to be a problem with not being able to pick up on certain social cues. She can tell when someone is sad and will try her best to try and cheer up that cat, friendly or not, but she can’t recognize when it’s time to step back. Her speech is clumsy and would hardly make the best public speaker, but over time, it is a hope that she will get better with this aspect.
Clingy+ Being all outspoken and whatnot, you would expect a cat like her to swim freely in group conversation. On the contrary, in a large gathering or in being verbally cornered, Wirepaw can grow very meek. This brings about a side her that her normal self is not very proud of. Under social duress, the apprentice with quickly attach to the closest cat she is fond of, and try to avoid conversation all together, responding and focusing only to one person completely at a time. With an added side note, those who she converses with most frequently and pleasantly with, Wirepaw appears more calmly in such conversations.
HISTORY In a time of drought, a mated pair [Brairfur] and Stonegaze were hesitant to bring a litter into the world. On a now crazy thought of rain, [Brairfur] grew pregnant deep into the drought. Stonegaze worked himself ragged to provide for his clan and mate when he found out while she grew. When it became certain [Brairfur] would give birth soon, fire sprang from to the territory. In an effort to save his mate, Stonegaze pushed the heavy [Brairfur] from the camp to safety. Her safe, he returned to help others but was ultimately caught in the blaze. Struck with grief, [Brairfur] lost the will to care for herself and her future kits.
Halfway through the travel to a new territory, [Brairfur] gave litter to two kits, a tiny tom and a wriggling she-cat. The tom, the image of her grey furred Stonegaze, was stillborn. The she-kit on the other hand, a mini-her with her mate’s wiry coat and whiskers, while obviously weak was a wiggly worm of activity. The surviving kit commanded [Brairfur]’s attention every hour she was awake.
The kit, which [Brairfur] named Wirekit, was so active she kept her poor mother’s thoughts from her loss. Wirekit never stopped moving, mewling, driving [Brairfur] to near insanity and whoever else was around her. Nasty little wriggler would always find the gap in her mother’s attention to escape and get into something or other, especially when [Brairfur] was napping. Yet before she could get into any big trouble, a cat would always return her, much to Wirekit’s displeasure and her growing need to socialize. It didn’t take many trips for it to become routine for the wily kit, and with each escapade Wirekit grew stronger and overcoming her sickly birth. Wirepaw was always convinced she had beaten her destiny to have died with her brother.
Wirekit always wanted to experience everything, talk to everyone, and becoming an apprentice only unleashed her. Wirepaw’s boundless energy made her an astute learner, vigorous in her training, even if she still held some social lacking. And at the end of the day, Wirepaw would always go back to [Brairfur] to tell her all about her day, trying to cheer her mother up still.
