GENDER tom
CLAN clanless
RANK loner
SHORT DESCRIPTION a large bodied cat with a white body and black extremities with hooded yellow eyes.
APPEARANCE Loki is a cat of great pride and he prides himself most in his coat. His body and mane are a silverish grey like the sunlight off snow. The limbs stand off the body in a black smoke coloration. His tail is different from his other appendages in that it is a gradient, with it starting with the bodice’s color before melting into the black point. His face is cut out of the white body as a black mask which two bright yellow suns stick as eyes.
The body of the vain tom is stocky under the great fluff of fur. Heavy bones give him weight that would sink him in a river and give him heavy paw steps. He was allowed to grow large and strong due to an abundance of food during his development. Never was he afflicted by diseases, given twoleg medicine to ward away sickness.
PERSONALITY Slick+ He’s alone, and a cat has to look after themselves. While Loki roams, he is sure to encounter somecat along the way. A loner knows better than to fight when at a disadvantage and for all he knows, Loki could make a bargain. Give him some prey, and he’ll go away and pester another clan, he’s reasonable. Though when words fail, and claws are shown and fangs bared, you’re sure to see Loki use anything he can and go to end it quickly.
Arrogant+ Loki finds himself to be a very handsome and talented cat, and he shows his pride in himself freely. Maybe he hadn’t lived on his own for his whole life, but he still counts what was majority of it as a lifelong experience. Thinking so highly of himself, he often overlooks others in favor of catering to his own wants. And if he finds a beautiful she-cat along the way, whose to say he isn't providing a bit of variety?
Wolfish+ Loki is a cat of many interests. Most importantly, he is a tom of his own interests. He may carry himself like a lion, but he grins like the wolf. Loki takes as he thinks he needs, which is more often than not what he wants. Why should he follow rules set by others that would just restrain him?
Fickle+ If you have what he wants, you might find it missing soon. Loki does what he can to get what he wants, no matter how. If you no longer hold something he wishes to gain? He leaves without a second though. Loyalties? What are those? Loki thinks he can care for himself, so he doesn’t need to please others to stick to others.
Discontent+ There are just some cats you can't please. Loki is just one of those toms who want more and more. He hungers for the best prey above the base mice and frogs. He wishes hold the best nest to lay in, while he sleeps in a uncomfortable little den. And when the going gets tough? Loki gets going, to where there are better pickings.
HISTORY Loki is a loner now, but he wasn’t always one. Named after old twoleg “ancestors” he’ll never know about, he comes from a proud father Fárbauti and a clever mother Laufey, cats raised and pampered for a few generations. Along with his brothers Helblindi and Býleistr, they were taken from their parents and all given to different twolegs after they could be separated from their mother. Loki hardly remembers his old family, having not heard or seen of them since his kithood. For all he knows, his parents could be deceased and his brothers starving. Abandoned by those who took them in, for he knows he suffered such a fate.
Loki’s owners no longer wanted him after he grew bigger, and soon, he was left behind after they packed what they owned and left in the big monsters. Loki stayed for days before his hunger drove him on, venturing streets a homeless cat. Scavenging for the longest time, he lost a large amount of weight and learned to fight in crossings with other loners over food and territory. Growing unhappy with what he was getting from the two leg territories, he left and found himself in green and prosperous territories of the clan cats.
Loki quickly found out hunting wasn’t his best skill and for the longest time he was doing even worse than in the twoleg place. The potential was there though, so Loki stayed and survived how he could. He learned through trial and error and off base instincts and, eventually, his prey count rose. Soon he could feed himself easily and gained back the weight he had lost.
Loki then grew more daring, knowing he could feed and defend himself. Skirting around the edges of the territories, where scents mixed and changed, he occasionally butted heads with the clan cats. Loki usually found himself lucky and got out before a confrontation could be met. He settled done on the outward edge of the territories. He wasn’t hungry, and he wasn’t scared, so he wasn’t going anywhere.
