MARIGOLDPAW
AGE seven moons GENDER she-cat CLAN skyclan RANK apprentice SHORT DESCRIPTION a sharp she-cat with a bizarrely patterned pelt APPEARANCE Marigoldpaw is a knife molded into feline form. She is striking and lovely, with flashing amber eyes sitting large and dangerous on a face seemingly sculpted from stone. Her cheek bones are high and sharp, as if they could slice the soft flesh of any cat that dared to draw a paw across them. Her muzzle is carefully extended from her hollow cheeks, decorated with white fangs too large for her thin lips to contain. They're almost always set into a grin that's a little too wild for even a feral cat to lay claim to, as if Marigold is some kind of throw back to creatures that never pledged allegiance to man's fire. Her body is corded muscle, made for long leaps and climbing. Her tail is long and thick - perfect for balancing acts. At a glance, however, Marigoldpaw looks soft thanks to a plush coat of fur - it's only when one touches her side do they feel the sharp jut of her hip bones and the hard wall of muscle underneath her skin. PERSONALITY starclan marigoldpaw you're so weird stop singing during hunting lessons you're scaring all the birds HISTORY Daisypetal and Minkfang were deeply in love. The two she-cats had been together since they were apprentices, announcing their union not long after leaving the apprentice den. Daisypetal had supported Minkfang when the young she-cat had revealed that she was not a tom and Minkfang had supported Daisypetal when the apprentice had fallen from a tree and broken her back leg - nearly missing her chance to become a warrior when the leg healed wrong and gave her a bad limp. They had planned to have kits someday, their relationship strong even despite the tragedy surrounding them. So they couldn't be too horrified when their litter of two came into the world - Skyclan was in a horrible place, yes, but they had kits. Surely this was a sign from Starclan? Surely these little lives meant that everything was going to be okay? Starclan wouldn't let them bring kits into the world just to have them die, right? Weaselkit and Rowankit were strong kits despite the lack of food in the territory. They weren't strong enough. The fires came and chased the clan out of their home. Weaselkit died on the journey, with Daisypetal unable to provide enough milk. Rowankit died not long after, chilled to death without a nursery to keep him warm. It wasn't long after that a small branch of the clan, sent off to hunt out a meal for the night, stumbled across the nest of a loner. A brief scuffle sent the unfortunate loner off - and soon after, the clan found what the other cat had been trying to defend. A single kit lay curled in the nest. Unable to find the mother they had chased off, it was determined that the clan would have to take in the kit. Daisypetal stepped forward and volunteered to take in the kit, naming her Marigoldkit. No one really expected the kit to make it, but she was stronger and healthier than many of the kits of the clan. She made it to the new territory. As she grew, it was gently suggested that the journey changed something within Marigoldkit. She took more joy in violence than the other kits, eagerly exclaiming her joy over being in the new territory - not because she was glad to be alive, but because she couldn't wait to battle with the new cats. She was excited to be a warrior. Some blamed her nonclan heritage. Others the early life trauma of the journey. Still others said there was nothing to worry about - there was nothing wrong with a cat wanting to defend her clan. OTHER anything else?
