NONTRADITIONAL we want to encourage creativity in choosing your character's name, however we would like you stick with prefixes and suffixes within reason. not sure if yours is stretching the boundaries? pm a staff member and ask! things like moon-, star-, and steel- will never fly, so make sure your character's name fits within the normal rules of warrior cat names. feel free to try outside-the-box names like tupil- or coral-.

PREFIXES these must be based on appearance only. a cat is named after what it looks like after birth. keep in mind, eye color is not apparent after the kit is born, so eye color is not an acceptable reason to name a cat. stick with nature-inspired names, as these cats have no contact with the human world and would not know what, say, different kinds of gems and metals are. however, these clans are located near the ocean and because of that, sea-inspired names will be allowed.

SUFFFIXES these describe an important attribute to a cat, be it a personal trait or an accelerated skill. suffixes, too, may take a nontraditional route, but things like -wish and -watcher will not be accepted. it is always beneficial to ask if you are not certain your suffix is acceptable.
