SHORT DESCRIPTION a lanky tortoiseshell cat with pale golden eyes.
PERSONALITY positive - calm, unshakable, well-meaning, not easily fazed by most anything, patient, intelligent, forgiving
neutral - inquisitive, somewhat reserved (not in that she is introverted, but simply often off in her own world), adventurous, pensive, a free spirit, sometimes unreactive, often lost in thought, somewhat eccentric, does not hold grudges for long or often at all
negative - distant, naive, can come off as unsympathetic or unresponsive to others' plights, absent-minded, nosy, inattentive, intrusive, lacks a great deal of care for rules or the code (not in that she
means not to follow them, simply that she doesn't think about it), forgetful, impulsive
HISTORY simply put, as a two moon old kit, newtkit does not truly have a lot of history to speak of. nonetheless, what is relevant is as follows, and may be traced back as far as newtkit's own nursing parent:
-seasons in the past, turtleflower of shadowclan gives birth to four kittens: tinykit, mothkit, firekit and cherrykit.
-the young and somewhat sickly cherrykit voices that he is a he, not a she, to the support (if confusion) of his parents.
-during a climbing exercise during their apprenticeships, tragedy strikes the litter, as both mothpaw and tinypaw fall and die in a terrible accident.
-firepaw is blinded in an battle involving cherrypaw and a thunderclan patrol, and is forced to become a medicine cat apprentice. cherrypaw's family - particularly his father - blame him, and he is ostracized for what has happened.
-depressed and unable to keep up with his training, cherrypaw is apprenticed instead to a new mentor: spiderstep, the brother of his previous mentor badgerfang.
-fast forward many moons, and cherrypaw - now cherrystorm - is mated to spiderstep. cherrystorm discovers that he is expecting the other shadowclanner's kits.
-the litter comes one night, three healthy kits. the first is a calico, which spiderstep names lilykit; the third looks similar to spiderstep, and is named starlingkit by decision of both parents.
-however, the second kit is the one most relevant in this case - as she would be newtkit herself. a dark tortoiseshell, cherrystorm is reminded immensely of mothpaw, his lost littermate. cherrystorm names this kit newtkit.
-newtkit grows fast, and has just recently reached two moons of age. eyes open and curiosity definitely piqued, her paws are already itching to explore the world around her, and to explore the bogs and marshes of shadowclan itself when she is of age.
