Squirreltail AGE 43 moons
GENDER She-cat
CLAN ThunderClan
RANK Warrior
SHORT DESCRIPTION Gray tabby with white markings and paws
APPEARANCEIt isn't necessarily that Squirreltail is too small. It's that the world is too big! And she'll claw anyone who says otherwise!
Yeah looking at you Foxstar, you mousebrained lovable jerk. Thankfully she isn't as small as her namesake, but that doesn't mean she isn't smaller than the average warrior.
Her name actually comes from the same thing. Firstly, at birth, she was named Squirrelkit for her tail. It's thick and fluffy without being too obtrusive. It was also the reason for her warrior name. More often than not -tail is chosen for a cat good at climbing or jumping, and while she isn't BAD at those skills, she isn't better than anyone else.
And while her pelt could also attribute to her name, Squirreltail likes to think that's the one physical attribute that deviates from her name sake. Sure she's gray, but she's also white. Her muzzle, throat, chest, belly, and paws are all white, like they were tipped in snow.

HISTORY Before LifeStreamflower and Redfur met, fell in love, and became mates. Then the stork came and brought them some lovely little furballs of their own to coddle and spoil and smother with love.
KitSquirrelkit was the eldest of the four. She had her two bothers, Wolfkit and Tigerkit, and her little sister, Daisykit. Daisykit was the smallest and was the most precious thing ever. She was sweet and kind and refused to hurt a fly. Literally. She refused to join in any of their games that involved chasing bugs and squashing them.
Wolfkit and Tigerkit were fierce and competitive. Their favorite games to play were the kind that involved wrestling and contests of strength. They tried to exclude Squirrelkit from their games because she could get hurt, and she-cats were supposed to be protected and kept safe.
Oh, she beat that notion out of them forcefully. She was grounded more than once for excessive force, and her mother even said that she'd tell the leader not to make her an apprentice. She calmed down a little bit by the time she reached 6 moons, but was still the rough-and-tumble gal.
ApprenticeHer mentor was a friend of her father's, named Pinenose. He was a fairly new mentor and was nervous a lot of the time. Squirrelpaw struggled to respect him, especially when he stuttered and stumbled over his instructions. "So what do you want to do today Squirrelpaw? No wait, I'm supposed to be telling you what to do..."
She rolled her eyes so many times behind his back she was surprised they never fell out of her skull. She learned more from group training with her siblings than she did from him. Pinenose eventually straightened out and found his rhythm, but it was near the end of her apprenticeship so it didn't really matter.
For all his faults as a mentor, he was definitely always willing to lend an ear to her rants when she needed it. And she needed it a lot, mostly because of the tom she was interested in. Another apprentice named Foxpaw.
Foxpaw was a little shit, okay? He had no business being that attractive but such an idiot. He showed off and picked fights with the other Clans and never listened when Squirrelpaw tried to boss him around. Squirrelpaw was determined to bend him to her will and claim him as her own, though.
WarriorAfter trials and tribulations, Squirreltail and Foxclaw decided mutually to end their relationship. Squirreltail was almost surprised how easily their relationship turned from romantic to friendly. Their snipes and snarks and jabs at each other turned from hurtful to mischievous. There wasn't any more pressure from either side on how to act or what to say. It was great.
What was even greater was that Squirreltail wasn't left without companionship. Without her realizing it, Pinenose, her former mentor, had fallen in love with her. He hadn't said anything because he'd thought she was in love with Foxclaw. Squirreltail decided to give it a shot and actually found she rather liked spending time with Pinenose. He was adorable and let her boss him around.
So when he asked her to be his mate, she said yes. Soon she was carrying kits and living in the nursery. And oh StarClan, she'd never been this bored since SHE was a kit. Pinenose for once was putting his foot down and refused to let her go any farther than the perimeter of the camp.
Squirreltail almost smacked Foxclaw for mocking her about not being able to patrol. He started calling her Waddles when she grew too big to walk properly and she vowed as soon as she popped her kits out that he would pay.
The next three moons were horribly dull and boring. And then she had the kits, three of them named Tidekit, Oakkit, and Maplekit. True to her promise, the first thing she did when she could leave them was chase Foxclaw around the camp threatening to shove a stick somewhere sticks should never be shoved.
Her kits were a pawful, yes, but still Squirreltail found that her paws itched to be out in the forest. As soon as her kits were weaned, she told them she'd be going back to her warrior duties but that she still loved them and would still spend time with them. Whether they believed her or not, she didn't know.
SkyClan's appearance brought uneasiness to Squirreltail. They were unknown, and the unknown was always dangerous. But Foxstar, her beloved best friend, threw ThunderClan's lot in with them. She might not think much of the newcomers, but she'd always fight beside her friend no matter the reasons.
OTHER One of my worst bios ever, but at least it's done. Everyone will be going up for adoption.
