To be quite honest, Flarespark was glad he hadn't come upon SkyClan in their old territory. Not because of the horrors they'd gone through, not really. At least if he'd gone through what they had, some of the other warriors would need a more genuine reason to hate him than 'he didn't suffer with us so he isn't one of us'. And one of them had actually said that to his face too.
It was more than that, actually. It was that, in this new place, he was just as unknowledgeable and unsure as his Clanmates. None of them knew their exact way around quite yet, despite having been here for six moons. Or at least not ALL of them know their way around yet.
At this moment, Flarespark was exploring by himself. He'd already hunted for the day earlier, so he wasn't shirking his duties. And Rainpetal knew where he was, so he wasn't sneaking around. And he wasn't hiding or trying to disguise his scent either. So if anyone found him, the only thing they could accuse him of was being an idiot.
Why? He had just discovered an abandoned rabbit den and gotten his head stuck shoving it through. "Well, this stinks." he meowed to no one. He should probably be conserving his air, since he didn't know how long he'd been there, but oh well. He'd never been the smartest of cats.

rainpetal felt anxious. being left alone had never been a good thing for her - and with her duties for the day done and flarespark leaving the camp by himself to go wandering, the often-overlooked she-cat had found herself lonelier than usual. at the very least, she knew where the ginger tom cat had gone - he'd let her know beforehand - so she had decided to direct her antsy paws to him, feeling a little odd to be interrupting his ... exploration time? she didn't know - but she felt a little intrusive, to be following him. still, she didn't exactly know what else to do with herself. today was a particularly bad day as far as her worrisome nature went, and she couldn't help but wonder if her friend was alright. after all, he had a knack for getting himself into odd situations sometimes.
so it was that, too, was wandering alone in skyclan's territory, jaws parting occasionally to draw in the scents around her. surely sooner or later she would pick up a more recent scent... ah! flarespark was nearby - and it did not take rainpetal long to find him, though she would adopt quite a bemused expression once she did.
her friend - or rather, his hind end specifically - was sticking out of what looked to be an abandoned rabbit's den, and apparently thoroughly stuck. she could not help but stare for a moment, resisting the urge to both sigh and laugh all at once, before she finally managed to will herself to move closer, extending a paw as if to try and -- well. try and do something.
she heard him then, saying something - but she wasn't entirely sure what, as it was muffled by the fact that he was, well, currently lodged head first in a burrow. "flarespark," she mewed, attempting to be loud for once - her normal speaking tone was likely not audible enough for this situation - as she reached out a paw to prod him gently. "flarespark, it's me, rainpetal. how did you even do this to yourself?" whiskers twitching, the gray tabby she-cat finally did heave a sigh, shaking her head as she took in his predicament from a closer angle. "hold on, i'm going to try to pull you out." without another word - and trying desperately to ignore her normally hesitant and tentative nature, and the worrisome voice in her head telling her to wait - the sleek warrior leaned forward, then wrapped her forelegs as firmly around her friend as she could, though it was difficult. for good measure, she grasped what she could reach of his pelt gently between her jaws as well, hopefully allowing her to have an even firmer hold.
then, abruptly, she heaved herself backwards, trying with all of her might to dislodge her friend from his earthen prison. if she were to succeed, she would adopt a stance of quiet exasperation as she would regard her now-freed clanmate, giving him a look - though not speaking aloud - as if to ask him really? did you really manage to get yourself trapped in a rabbit hole? if she were to fail, however, the she-cat would eventually likely tumble backwards from the force of her attempt, and once back on her paws, regard flarespark with a great deal more worry, and perhaps even express a desire for him to try and free himself instead, concern audible rising in her tone.
