PLOVERFANG AGE thirty-nine moons
GENDER she-cat
CLAN riverclan
RANK warrior
SHORT DESCRIPTION A massive tortoiseshell and white she-cat with amber eyes and long fur
APPEARANCE At first sight, one may easily mistake Ploverfang for a large, muscular tom. She is a muscular she-cat with broad shoulders, and an overall massive, powerful build. Larger than the average tom in any clan in both height and simply sheer mass, Ploverfang is a very powerful cat and is a strong fighter as well as swimmer. It is almost odd that she doesn't sink to the bottom of the river thanks to her size and weight, in contrast, her powerful legs and tail help her easily swim through the water. Although she is not the greatest fisher, she is a master of aquatic battle.
Covering her large muscular body is a thick blanket of tortoiseshell and white fur that makes Ploverfang appear much larger than she really is. It is of medium length and rather fluffy, especially during the winter when she is greatly in need of a protective layer of fur. When first learning to swim, her fur greatly weighed her down, having not formed a resistance to water yet, it absorbed it all and dragged her down. Now, however, it is silky and shiny with water-proof oils that prevent her pelt from absorbing, and instead resisting the river water.
Despite the fact that Ploverfang has never been a conventionally pretty or beautiful cat, she is not ugly. Although she retains a somewhat masculine appearance even in her face, she could be considered to be a rather handsome cat. With a level-headed, sometimes irritated expression crossing her face and present in Ploverfang's greenish-amber eyes.
PERSONALITY headstrong, critical, blunt, masculine, harsh, sarcastic, secretive, loyal, level-headed, understanding, compassionate, passionate, reasonable, straightforward
Much like her appearance may convey, not only does Ploverfang have a masculine, robust appearance, but she is rather masculine in her mannerism and personality as well. She makes no effort to be feminine, and does not wish to fuss over her appearance, although that does not mean Ploverfang does not take care of herself, she grooms herself regularly and makes sure that she does not appear to have just rolled in a pile of briars. However, it is far from her main priority, and due to her large, almost massive size, she is far from a brilliant hunter, and does not have the quickest reflexes. Ploverfang relies on power and strength to win fights and swim powerfully through the water. And despite her default size and strength, Ploverfang work hard to protect her clan and clanmates.
Ploverfang cares much for those who she is close to, and takes it personally whenever another cat is hurt or hurting. Although she may hide it, and mask many of her emotions under a blanket of masculinity, in which she tries her best to not express said compassion. Which may be good, due to her slight tactlessness. Ploverfang, although she cares deeply, and hates seeing others in pain, does not always know how to handle it. She becomes somewhat awkward and uneasy, unsure of how to properly handle the situation whether it be physical pain or emotional pain the other is experiencing, because although she wishes greatly to help, Ploverfang simply can't comprehend how to.
Although it may take a while for Ploverfang to truly become close to her or to get her to open up, she is still loyal to her clan and anyone in it. She is very passionate about protecting and serving her clan in any way she can, even though she is able to hold grudges against cats who have managed to get on her bad side, in the long run, Ploverfang will protect even those who she does not particularly like simply because they are part of her clan, and by extension, are part of her family. Even so, Ploverfang does not outwardly express strong emotions for others and can be rather secretive in regards to her emotions, among other things. If there is something Ploverfang doesn't wish another cat to know, she may lie in order to keep what she wants quiet, quiet, that is, as long as they are not lies that will put her clan at great risk.
In regards to Ploverfang's political views, she is very opinionated and is not afraid to voice her opinions. Ploverfang knows what she thinks and is not afraid to say whatever she thinks no matter how unpopular or out of line it may seem, she has a slight problem with keeping her mouth shut. She is not afraid to say what she thinks and usually doesn't think twice about it, even if they are simply in conversation with another cat, some of which can be very blunt. Not only that, but she has a tendency to make many remarks, the majority of which are sarcastic. Ploverfang finds it very hard not to make a verbally ironic comment, especially in situations where another says something Ploverfang finds idiotic. However, it is not impossible for the large she-cat to be reasoned with, given enough factual and reasonable information, Ploverfang may be swayed, although she remains to be rather headstrong and stubborn.
